Frequently asked questions

How does this work, exactly?

You contact us in English. We assess the problem, match you with an English-speaking plumber in your area, and confirm the price before work starts. The plumber does the job; you pay after, with an invoice (fatura with NIF). We're the coordination layer that makes it painless.

Is English really guaranteed?

Yes — that's the whole point of the service. Every plumber we work with is vetted for conversational English: they can discuss the problem, explain the fix and the price, and confirm you're happy before leaving.

How do I pay? Can I pay by card?

Most jobs are paid by MB Way, bank transfer or cash after completion. Card payments depend on the plumber — ask us when booking and we'll match you accordingly. You always receive an invoice with NIF.

Are the plumbers licensed and insured?

We work with established local professionals with proper registration (NIF, atividade aberta) and their own insurance. If your building or condominium needs documentation, tell us in advance.

What if something goes wrong after the job?

Tell us. Workmanship issues reported promptly are put right — that's the advantage of booking through a coordinator instead of a random number from the internet. You have one point of contact: us, in English.

How fast can someone come?

Emergencies in Lisbon: typically 60–90 minutes. Cascais, Sintra and Oeiras: allow a little longer. Scheduled work is booked at a time that suits you, including Saturdays.

What should I do in a water emergency right now?

Find your main shut-off valve (usually near the water meter, in the kitchen, or in the building's service area — in Portuguese: 'válvula de corte geral') and turn it clockwise to close. Then call us. If water is near electrics, switch off the relevant breaker too.

Do you work weekends and holidays?

Emergency service runs 7 days a week. Scheduled non-urgent work is Monday–Saturday.

I'm a landlord / property manager. Can you handle my properties?

Yes — several of our regular clients are landlords and Airbnb hosts. We can invoice per property with NIF, send job reports with photos, and prioritize your emergencies. Contact us to set it up.
